Subject:	LTP – FY 2010 Farm Bill Program Application Timeline

Purpose: Application Sign-up Timelines and Application Materials for Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP), and the Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) Program. Expiration Date: September 30, 2010. Background: FY 2010 Farm Bill funds will soon be allocated from the National office to the PIA. Field Offices should continue conservation planning as stated in the NPPH to ensure that all contract agreements are properly written and address all needed resource concerns. No contracts will be obligated for FY 2010 without an approved conservation plan. This is a new Farm Bill year so please refer to the 2008 Farm Bill Program rules and new Program Manuals that have already been distributed. In addition, each field office will be receiving a FY 2010 Application Materials Notebook that will contain EQIP, WHIP, and AMA Program Fact Sheets, application materials, program applications (CPA-1200 with Appendix), Self-Certification forms, and other application materials for determining an applicant’s program eligibility. Please note that the AMA Program is not available for producers in the PIA-West and American Samoa.
