Deadline for Hilo Bay Watershed Applications Due June 21, 2013:
NRCS Is Accepting Applications for the 2013 National Water Quality Initiative for Hilo Bay.


HONOLULU, HI, May 21, 2013 — The USDA - Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is accepting applications for the National Water Quality Initiative for Hilo Bay in Hawaii County. The application deadline for this initiative is June 21, 2013. $433,291 has been allocated to address specific existing water quality natural resource concerns within designated watersheds in Hawaii County. Funding will be dedicated to address specific water quality issues on qualified agricultural land, which includes cropped land, grazed land, animal feeding operations and forested land.
